Luis Miguel Posadas Yáñez joined the firm in 2013 and has been a Counsel since 2025. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Luis Miguel Posadas has more than 16 years of experience advising underwriters and issuers in debt and equity offerings in Mexico and abroad. As to his experience in mergers and acquisitions, he has advised purchasers, sellers and financial advisors in the process of acquisition of both private and public companies.
Luis Miguel also has substantial experience in real estate transactions, where he has participated in major financing and restructuring transactions advising domestic and foreign financial institutions.
From 2019 to 2020 he worked as a Foreign Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, in New York, United States.
Represented Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley, and MUFG Securities Americas, as initial purchasers, in connection with the offering by Banorte (Cayman Islands branch), of its USD$750 million 8.375% Perpetual 6.5-Year Callable Subordinated Non-Preferred Non-Cumulative Tier 1 Capital Notes, and its USD$750 million 8.750% Perpetual 10.5-Year Callable Subordinated Non-Preferred Non-Cumulative Tier 1 Capital Notes.
Represented the investor consortium formed by Continental Grain Company, Organización Cultiba, Equity Group Investments, and Castle Harlan, in the acquisition finance of a majority stake in Baja-Aqua Farms and its subsidiaries, a leading company in the Bluefin tuna aquaculture business in Baja California, Mexico.
Represented BofA Securities, as the Mexican bookrunner in the follow-on transaction, in which Traxión issued just under 164 million shares, which are listed on the Mexican stock exchange.
Represented Citibanamex Casa de Bolsa, J.P. Morgan Casa de Bolsa and Casa de Bolsa BBVA Mexico, as lead underwriters, in connection with FIBRA Prologis’ offering of 138,000,000 additional Real Estate Trust Certificates (CBFIs), for a total amount of MXN$9,660 million, consisting of an offering of 83,131,095 CBFIs to the general public in Mexico and an international offering of 54,868,905 CBFIs outside of Mexico. The CBFIs trade on the Mexican Stock Exchange.
Represented Barclays as intermediary, in connection with the tender offer launched by Delta Air Lines, as purchaser, for the shares evidencing 32% of the capital stock of Grupo Aeroméxico.
