Our Firm has advised in the largest and most complex restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings that have taken place in Mexico. We have successfully advised in restructuring proceedings both before the Mexican courts and out-of-court corporate refinancings processes in the areas of aviation, satellite communications, real estate development, energy, construction and concession of infrastructure projects, among others. 

We have represented companies facing liquidity issues providing advice to adjust their business through legal strategies and agreements with their creditors to continue as ongoing concerns. Our firm has advised domestic and foreign creditors within complex restructuring processes, (mainly financial institutions and bondholders), both in and out-of-court, defending their interests and negotiating to maximize recovery.

Our partner who heads this practice has participated as conciliator (conciliador), bankruptcy trustee (síndico) and government appointed commissioner in over twenty of the largest bankruptcy proceedings in Mexico, successfully reaching agreements with the majority of the creditors, achieving the preservation of the relevant business.
