Renata Cantú has experience advising both national and international financial institutions on the structuring and restructuring of credit facilities for public and private companies in Mexico. Additionally, she has provided advice in M&A transactions involving domestic and foreign private companies.
As for her experience in competition and antitrust, Renata has been actively engaged in various merger control filings before the Federal Economic Competition Commission, and in investigations for abuse of dominance and cartels. Her focus has primarily centered on sectors such as finance, energy, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, and real estate.
Represented BBVA, as administrative agent and the lenders, in the refinancing of Grupo Bimbo´s USD$1,935 million revolving loan.
Represented the lenders, in the negotiation and execution of a credit agreement to Edificio del Noroeste, for an amount of up to MXN$14,000 million, secured by means of a securities pledge (prenda bursátil) over the shares of Bachoco.
Represented Grupo Solufi and individuals in the structuring of the investment made by Bocel, through the issuance of shares representing the capital stock of Grupo Solufi.
Represented Morgan Stanley, Credit Agricole, Deutsche Bank and Itau BBA USA, as initial purchasers, in connection with the offering by Braskem Idesa of USD$1,200 million of its 6.990% Senior Notes due 2032.
Represented Deutsche Bank, in the process to obtain authorization from the Federal Antitrust Commission in connection with the sale to CIBanco, of the corporate trust business of Deutsche Bank Mexico.
