Salvador Ignacio Torres Bremer joined the firm in 2013. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Energy and Infrastructure Projects and Mergers and Acquisitions.
Salvador Torres has 10 years of experience in banking and finance with special focus on financing of infrastructure projects in the energy and oil & gas sectors, representing developers, investors and national and international financial institutions. Salvador also has an active practice in mergers and acquisitions focused on such sectors. He has extensive experience in corporate finance transactions involving domestic and foreign debtors and creditors.
From 2018 to 2019 he worked as a Foreign Associate in Paul Hastings in New York, United States.
Represented the syndicate of banks and collaborated in the drafting of financing documents and Mexican law governed security documents in connection with 3 natural gas pipelines called: “El Encino – La Laguna”, “La Laguna – Aguascalientes” and “the Aguascalientes – Villa de Reyes – Guadalajara” developed by Fermaca, for an aggregate amount of up to USD$1,661 million (aggregate lengths of 1,293 km).
Represented First Reserve and participated in the negotiation and drafting of documentation regarding the acquisition and financing of the wind farm “La Bufa” with a total capacity of 180MW, developed by Mexico Power Group and First Reserve in the State of Zacatecas.
Represented Abeinsa Juárez N-III (Abengoa) and negotiated the terms of a bridge loan and related security documentation for the development, construction, commission and operation of a 788MW combined cycle power plant in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
Structured, lead and prepared credit and security documents regarding the refinancing of the existing debt of Compañía de Energía Mexicana, in connection with a hydroelectric power plant of approximately 30MW.
Represented Canadian Solar in connection with its participation in the Mexican long term auctions to sell electric energy from a photovoltaic plant to the Comisión Federal de Electricidad.
Represented the syndicate of banks and drafted credit documents in the financing of a wind farm of 424 MW developed by Zuma Energía for an aggregate amount of USD$513 million.
Collaborated in drafting and negotiating of financing documents and project documents with respect to a photovoltaic solar plant called “Potrero Solar” with a total capacity of 296 MW, developed by the FRV group.
