Ana Gabriela Martínez Kruyff joined the firm in 2016. She specializes in Banking and Finance and Energy and Infrastructure Projects.
  • PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
    Ana Gabriela Martínez has experience in transactional matters, mainly focused on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects. She has represented different developers, purchasers, investors and lenders, in regulatory matters and in the financing and development of energy and infrastructure projects. She’s also an expert in the review and negotiation of agreements, including electric coverage agreements, as well as relevant agreements for the construction, procurement, and operation of projects. Ana Gabriela has also represented different companies in international arbitration proceedings related to diverse industries, including energy and infrastructure.

    Ana Gabriela worked for two years (2022-2024) at A&O Shearman in New York as a Foreing Associate. During such time, she focused on corporate financing and project financing.
  • RELEVANT TRANSACTIONS
    • As a visiting attorney at A&O Shearman, represented a consortium of banks in connection with the financing of the Codelco reverse osmosis desalination plant in Chile, developed by a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation and Transelec Holdings Rentas Limitada.
    • Represented ENGIE on its first green loan financing for renewables projects in the world, in connection with a limited recourse project financing in respect to four solar parks and two wind farms in Mexico with a combined capacity of approximately 721 MW. The debt financing structure is non-traditional and the first of its type
    • Represented Citibanamex, Société Génerale and BBVA in a project financing to Servitux, a joint venture between Monterra Energy and SSA México, for the construction of a fuel storage terminal in the port of Tuxpan, Veracruz, Mexico.
    • Represented Pattern, Cemex and EXI in the financing of two merchant projects, each of approximately USD$102 million, for the construction, development, operation and maintenance of two solar projects located in Zacatecas, México.
    • Represented a leading company in renewable energy in an ICC arbitration proceeding with respect to the construction of a wind farm in Mexico.
    • Represented Parque Eólico Mezquite in the senior financing for an approximate amount of USD$222 million and its VAT financing, for the construction, development, operation and maintenance of a wind farm of approximately 250MW in Nuevo León, México.
    • Represented Blackrock in the negotiation of an EPC Agreement for the expansion of the facilities to transport coal in Petacalco, a coal facility operated by CFE.
    • Represented IEnova, the Mexican subsidiary of Sempra Energy, in the long term auctions called by CENACE in 2017.
