Juan Ignacio Cerdá has experience advising buyers, private equity funds and sellers throughout the acquisition process of companies across various sectors in both domestic and international transactions. His expertise also includes advising financial institutions on regulatory analysis, negotiation, and legal implementation of financial transactions, such as derivatives, securities lending and repo in international markets.
Furthermore, Juan has advised clients on the drafting and implementation of national regulation related to central banking operations, payment systems and financial technology institutions in Mexico. Additionally, he has represented issuers and underwriters in public equity and quasi-equity offerings.
Represented the underwriters, in the issuance and placement by América Móvil of MXN$17,000 million of its Senior Notes due 2031, under a Global Note Program in Mexico and the United States.
Represented JP Morgan, in connection with ALFA's consent solicitation and CUSIP exchange offer regarding its 6.875% Senior Notes due 2044, issued under foreign law, as part of an authorized program of up to USD $500 million.
