Eduardo Monterde Cotera joined the firm in 2022. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets and Energy and Infrastructure Projects.
    Eduardo Monterde has advised several financial institutions in the structuring of credit facilities for infrastructure projects. He also has experience representing issuers in the placement of securities in the domestic stock market.
    • Represented the Mexican subsidiary of one of Spain's leading banks in connection with a credit agreement for up to the aggregate principal amount of USD$175 million for the development of two hotels to be operated as “All-inclusive Resort” near Tulum, Quintana Roo.
    • Represented a group of six banks in connection with a credit agreement for an aggregate principal amount of up to USD$300 million, to the Mexican leading and largest REIT for the construction of a shopping mall and offices.
    • Represented a group of three banks as mandated lead arrangers in execution of a credit facility of USD$381 million to an electricity company, for the refinancing of a 220 MW cogeneration plant located in Tabasco, Villahermosa.
    • Represented one of Mexico´s leading investment fund managers in the execution of a credit facility of MXN$360 million for the development of infrastructure projects in Mexico.
    • Represented three of the largest financial institutions in the United States, in connection with the aspects subject to Mexican law related to the placement in international markets by one of the largest telecommunications companies in Mexico of USD$575 million under the 7.500% Senior Notes due 2025.
    • Represented a state-owned company in the energy sector in the issuance of debt certificates for an amount of MXN$9,999 million.
