Legal 500 hosted the first edition of the GC Summit Mexico 2022, in which our partners Ricardo Calderón participated as speaker in the panel "Measuring and reporting ESG performance: trends and challenges" along with our special guests Luz Elena Gómez-Haro, Corporate Global Compliance Counsel at PepsiCo, Gustavo Alarcón, Deputy General Counsel at Industrias Peñoles, and Javier Perochena, Head of ESG Solutions at Banco Santander México.
The panel of experts discussed the following topics:
- What are the critical ESG standard-setters and what standards companies should comply with?
- Differences between standards, frameworks, rating agencies and data providers.
- Significant challenges that companies have to contend with, including greenwashing, gender washing, and transparency and accountability when it comes to accurate data reporting.
The event brought together General Counsels to have an in-depth discussion about significant topics for corporates and companies operating in Mexico.
