Javier Domínguez joined the firm in 1995 and has been a partner since 2007.

He advises developers, investment funds, investors, and creditors on domestic and cross-border real estate and financial transactions. He has participated in a variety of strategic real estate operations, including acquisitions, divestitures, developments, leases, and financings, notably advising the world’s largest industrial facility developer. He has also represented real estate funds and investors on their investments, developments and asset management in Mexico.

He advises domestic and international creditors on the structuring and restructuring of loans for public and private entities, including secured, unsecured, mezzanine, and structured financings.

Javier gained international experience as a foreign associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented FINSA and Walton Street Capital in the sale to Fibra UNO of an industrial portfolio comprised by 74 industrial properties, for USD$841 million, the largest industrial real estate transaction in Latin America in 2019.
  • Represented Walton Street Capital and GBI Inmuebles in the sale of an office building located in Insurgentes Sur 1079, to a group of private investors.
  • Represented Fibra MTY in a Syndicated Structured loan for an amount of up to USD$150 million which financing was led by HSBC and which was partially used for the acquisition of the Whirpool’s campus in Monterrey.
  • Represented Reichmann International in the sale of its remaining interest in the Torre Mayor project to FUNO.
  • Represented Fibra MTY in the sale-and-lease-back transaction entered with Whirlpool’s Corporation of Whirpool corporate and industrial campus in Monterrey, comprised of 10 offices, manufactures and distribution buildings in an area of 384,451m2. This acquisition represented the largest single-asset, single-tenant, industrial sale lease back in the history of Mexico.
  • Represented a joint venture between Walton Street and Copri in the acquisition of the land and the development of a high-end housing complex, in the area known as “Parque la Mexicana”.
