Héctor Cárdenas joined the firm in 2010 and has been a partner since 2022.
He has extensive experience representing buyers, sellers, and financial advisors in investment, merger, and acquisition transactions across a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, retail, education, technology, automotive, entertainment, logistics, and financial services. His practice includes acquisitions through tender of fers, financings, and reorganizations, with a particular focus on advising private equity funds on their structuring, acquisitions, and divestments.
In banking and finance, Héctor has advised domestic and international financial institutions, funds, and other creditors in a variety of domestic and cross-border financial transactions, with particular emphasis on structured financings.
Héctor gained international experience as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.

- Represented Ares Management in the acquisition of Walton Street Capital.
- Represented Zebrands and its founders in multiple acquisitions, as well as in the repurchase of shares from its investors.
- Represented the controlling family of AFASA in its sale to Sojitz Corporation.
- Represented the controlling family of Grupo MYT, as well as the company, in an investment by L Catterton.
- Represented the controlling family of La Madrileña in its sale to Bepensa.
- Represented Nex xus Capital in the investment and acquisition, and subsequent divestment, of several companies in the food and beverage, construction, education, and technology sectors. Represented Discovery in the investment and acquisition of several companies in the education, entertainment, logistics, and financial services sectors.
- Represented Linzor Capital in the investment and acquisition of companies in the education and technology sectors.
- Represented L Catterton in an investment in Ben & Frank.
- Represented Creation Investments in its investments in several fintech and financial services companies.
- Represented Gramercy in multiple cross-border financing transactions in Mexico, including mezzanine loans to Artha Capital and a co-lending structure with Soda Capital.
- Represented BBVA Spark in structured credit facilities to Kueski, Equity Link, Creditas, and Quinio.
