Héctor Cárdenas joined the firm in 2010 and has been a partner since 2022.

He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, representing financial and strategic buyers, sellers, and financial advisors in the sale of assets and businesses across a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, education, technology, automotive, entertainment, and financial services. His practice includes public tender offers, financings, and reorganizations, with a strong focus on advising private equity funds in their structuring, acquisitions, and divestments.

In real estate, Héctor is actively involved in transactions related to the structuring and fundraising of private equity real estate funds, as well as in the purchase and sale of properties and developments.

Héctor gained international experience as a foreign associate at Simpson Thacher in New York.

  • Represented Nexxus Capital in its investments in, or acquisitions of, and subsequent divestment of several companies in the food and beverage, construction, educational and technology industries.
  • Represented Discovery in its investment in, or acquisition of, several companies in the education and financial services industries.
  • Represented Linzor Capital in its investment in, or acquisition of, several companies in the education and technology industries.
  • Represented Grupo MYT in the investment of L Catterton.
  • Represented Kavak in its latest funding round.
  • Represented Ivanhoe Cambridge in the establishment of a joint venture with Black Creek to develop and operate properties in Mexico.
  • Represented CCLA in the establishment of a joint venture with GIC to develop and operate properties in Mexico.
  • Represented Thor Urbana in the structuring, investment and acquisition of several properties to develop fixed used projects in Mexico.
  • Represented Grupo Herdez in its tender offer to acquire shares Grupo Nutrisa’s shares.
