Gabriel Robles joined the firm in 2007 and has been a partner since 2021.
He has extensive experience in cross-border and domestic transactions in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and banking finance, advising financial institutions, public companies, and private equity funds. Gabriel actively represents issuers and underwriters in the structuring and issuance of public equity and quasi-equity offerings, as well as investors in the acquisition of public and private companies. He is also involved in financing transactions and corporate restructurings for national and international financial institutions in Mexico.
Gabriel gained international experience as a foreign associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.
Relevant Experience
- Represented the banks, as initial purchasers, in the initial public offering of 224,000,000 common shares by Esentia Energy Development, for an amount of MXN$10.8 billion, consisting in a public offering in Mexico and a private offering in the international markets.
- Represented CFECapital and CFE FIBRA E, in the offering by CFE FIBRA E of its US$725 million 5.875% Senior Unsecured Notes due in 2040, issued under foreign legislation.
- Represented Nubank, in obtaining its banking license from the CNBV, for its organization and operation as a multiple banking institution in Mexico.
- Represented Banco Santander México, in a syndicated loan of up to MXN$4 billion granted to Sanfer Farma and Laboratorios Sanfer.
- Represented SBLA Advisers Corp. and other investors, including General Atlantic JV, in a USD$127 million subsequent investment round in Kavak.
- Represented Sequoia Capital Operations, in a USD$18 million Series B investment round in Draftea.
- Represented Nacer Global Education (the majority shareholder of Lottus Education), in the investment made by Kans Capital in Lottus Education, a platform specialized in educational services.
