Gabriel joined the firm in 2013 and has been a partner since 2023.

He has extensive experience in structuring and implementing real estate projects, with a focus on portfolio acquisitions, joint ventures, development and construction, and the formation of private equity funds.

He also advises Mexican and international financial institutions on bridge and long-term financings, as well as on the structuring of guarantee packages, primarily related to real estate assets. He is also actively involved in mergers and acquisitions across a wide range of sectors.

Gabriel gained international experience as a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented CCLA and CIM Group, in the restructuring of a loan of MXN$2,223 million and an additional line of credit of MXN$276 million.
  • Represented Banco Sabadell and Scotiabank Inverlat, as lenders, in a loan of MXN$1,350 million granted to Parks (through an investment trust), to finance the development and construction of a property known as "Distrito Querétaro", located in Querétaro, Mexico.
  • Represented Thor Urbana, in the development of a boutique hotel and beach club located in Tulum, Quintana Roo, to be operated by SoHo House and Scorpions, respectively.
  • Represented Finsa / Walton Street Capital CKD I in the sale to Fibra Uno of 74 Class A industrial facilities and 11.1 million square feet of infrastructure and land reserve for an amount of USD$840 million.
  • Represented Grupo Posadas in its short-term financing in an amount of MXN$450 million, with a security trust and pledge guaranties over certain hotels of the group located in Mexico City and Guadalajara.
  • Represented HSBC, Banco Sabadell, Santander and Citibank (Citibanamex) in certain construction and asset acquisition credit agreements, including local and cross-border facilities.
  • Represented local developers in their negotiation of hotel management agreements with large operators (i.e., Marriott and Grupo Posadas), including related financing.
  • Represented Fagron (a public company constituted in The Netherlands) in its acquisition of 100% of equity in Central de Drogas (a supplier of pharmaceutical raw materials), for an amount of US$20 million.
