Eric Silberstein joined the firm in 2016 and has been a partner since 2023.

He has experience in mergers and acquisitions advising buyers, private equity funds, sellers, and financial advisors on the acquisition of financial institutions and companies across various sectors, including pharmaceutical, transportation, and food and beverage, in both domestic and cross-border transactions. In the banking sector, he represents debtors and creditors on the structuring, negotiation, and implementation of structured financings.

Additionally In capital markets, Eric advises issuers and underwriters on public and private offerings, including corporate bonds and equity offerings, with a particular focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 securities, both in Mexico and the United States.

Eric was admitted to the New York Bar and gained international experience as a foreign associate at Dechert, also in New York.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented Engen Capital in obtaining several asset backed credit facilities from financial institutions in Mexico and the United States.
  • Represented the IFC in the granting of an asset backed credit facility to several entities participating in the financial leasing industry.
  • Represented private equity fund Australis Partners in its investment in Grupo Vitalmex.
  • Represented private equity fund Discovery Americas in its investment in Mas Air.
  • Represented private equity fund CFS Brands in its acquisition of Cepillos El Castor.
  • Represented private equity fund Discovery Americas in its investment in KidZania.
  • Represented Grupo COPRI and its shareholders in the sale of 100% of its capital stock to Macquarie.
  • Represented several financial institutions acting as joint structuring agents and joint bookrunners in the establishment of the MTN Program of BBVA for the issuance of Tier I Notes and participated in takedowns under the program.
  • Represented Orbia in the issuance of USD$600 million of its 1.875% Notes and USD$500 million of its 2.875% Notes.
