Diego Guerrero joined the firm in 2019 and has been a partner since 2025.
Diego Guerrero has more than 10 years of experience providing tax advice to Mexican and foreign companies and individuals, in connection with their operations in Mexico and abroad. He has participated in the purchase and sale of shares and equity quotas, corporate restructurings, development of new businesses, representation and compliance before Mexican tax authorities, among others.
Diego is a member of the Young IFA Network (YIN) of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), since 2020.
Relevant Experience
- Represented Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP) in the tax due diligence, tax structuring and negotiation of the acquisition of 12 combined-cycle power plants and one wind power plant from Iberdrola, one of the largest energy transactions in Mexico, involving 8.5 GW of installed capacity.
- Represented Intercam in the sale of a significant portion of its banking, brokerage and asset management businesses to Kapital Bank, including the tax aspects of the carve-out, restructuring and subsequent merger.
- Represented Plata Card in the private issuance and placement in the United States of multiple tranches of its Series 1 and Series 2 notes, supporting the company's funding strategy and expansion of its lending operations in Mexico.
- Represented Fideicomiso de Inversión en Energía México (FIEMEX) in the issuance and offering of US$1.49 billion aggregate principal amount of 7.25% senior secured notes due 2041 pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S.
- Represented Nexxus Capital in the public offering and placement of its Series A Trust Certificates (sub-series A-1 and A-2).
- Represented América Móvil in the tax analysis of multiple bond issuances in Mexico and the United States, including their public offering and listing in Mexico and cross-border securities offerings.
