Alejandra Echeverría joined the firm in 2013 and has been a partner since 2021.

She is an experienced transactional lawyer with a special focus on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects. Alejandra represents contractors, developers, investors, financial institutions, development banks, and multilateral agencies in the structuring and financing of projects under various legal, contractual, and financial frameworks across multiple sectors, including transportation (roads, ports, railways, and airports), power generation (conventional and renewable), and hydrocarbon transportation and storage. She also advises clients on regulatory matters related to these sectors.

Alejandra gained international experience as foreign associate at Allen & Overy in New York.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented Japan International Cooperation Agency on a USD$100 million loan to Energética Nova to fund five solar power plants in Mexico.
  • Represented Banco Santander, BBVA Bancomer, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation; Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking; MUFG Bank México, Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, Nacional Financiera, Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, Banco Inbursa, Grupo Financiero Inbursa, CaixaBank, GE Capital EFS Financing and HSBC México, in connection with the refinancing of a USD$364.98 million to TAG Norte Holding and TAG Pipelines Norte, for the development, construction and operation of a gas pipeline of 42" diameter and an approximate length of 454 km from Ramones, Nuevo León to a site located approximately 60 km from San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí known as “Ramones Norte”.
  • Represented Ainda, Energía & Infraestructura in an equity investment in Concesionaria Monterrey Nuevo Laredo, a subsidiary of Promotor y Operadora de Infraestructura, that is the concessionaire of La Gloria San Fernando section of the Monterrey – Nuevo Laredo highway.
  • Represented Banco Ve por Más in connection with a loan granted in favor of Bosnor for an amount of USD$8 million and the creation of a Mexican-law governed Management and Payment Source Trust.
  • Represented Tuli Energia in connection with the financing of USD$102.127 million for the construction and operation of a 150 MW photovoltaic Project located in Zacatecas, Mexico.
  • Represented Helios Generación in connection with the financing of USD$103.354 million for the construction and operation of a 150 MW photovoltaic Project located in Zacatecas, Mexico.
  • Represented Recurrent Energy Mexico Development, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar International, in obtaining a bridging loan of up to USD$45 million granted by Natixis, New York Branch, for the development, construction and operation of a photovoltaic power plant, as well as the structuring and negotiation of Credit guarantee.
